Jackson Reimers, a 6th grade student at Nebraska City Middle School recently decided to do what some students believe to be the unthinkable. CUT OFF ALL OF HIS HAIR! Jackson has been growing his hair for well over a year when he began to realize he doesn't know how to manage such a mane. Hair in his cereal, ponytails, rubber bands, hair ties, and braids were not only a nuisance but an impossible task for him to live with so Jackson decided it was time for his goldilocks locks to go! Jackson had talked to his parents about donating his hair to Locks of Love and then somewhat forgot about the concept. Not long after this initial decision, Jackson's mother was hospitalized and he realized it was the perfect timing to give to others. With support from his father, Jackson's grandmother took the helm and made the cuts. Nebraska City Middle School is proud to work with such a kind young man who is doing big things outside of school. Jackson hopes to motivate others to follow suite and to always remember, "even small gestures can have a big impact." #BeKind
